Maddie Turns 4

Maddie is 4. I cannot believe it. She is in school 3 days a week. She is paci free (which is a miracle in itself). She is not napping by choice anymore. She has learned to ride her tricycle in the house. She is still trying to make it up to 100 laps around the living room and kitchen. So far she is up to about 30.  So many things they learn to do in a years time, it is still amazing to watch.

Her party went well. We decided to have it at home. There were about 15 people here. We had lots of food and the best cake ever. She loved it.

She got lots of presents that she loved. Dress up clothes are always a huge hit. Princess dresses and a wedding barbie dress have all been worn daily. Watching her ride her bike in her princess dresses barefoot has been very entertaining for us.

So far, I think we have spent about 40 hours playing with playdough. She has made dozens of "cookies" with it. She did pretty well at her party. She wouldn't smile and pose for the camera with all of the people there but she thanked everyone for her stuff.

This is the princess Dora costume she had Nana dress her up in. I still can't believe she came out in front of everyone with the dress and hat on. She wore this one for about 3 days.

This is her cake. It was almost all gone by the end of the party. It was devoured! It was so yummy and covered with pink flowers per Maddie's request!

Maddie liked the cake but she loved the icing. I caught her eating it off the plate. She ate all of the white icing off of the gold plate. I didn't see why not. It was her birthday after all!
I am so proud of her. I feel so lucky everyday for my little family. Maddie has grown into such a wonderful little person. I hope she feels loved and adored everyday!
