Maddie's favorite thing to do is go to "the hotel". She usually doesn't care which one, it just needs an indoor pool of some sort. She loves it. So, for her birthday she said she wanted to go to the hotel with the bunk beds. She was talking about the Great Wolf Lodge. We were there about 8 months ago and she still talks about it. She has an incredible memory! So, we went.
She talked about sleeping in the bunk beds on the top for weeks. And of course we get there and about 1am she is awake and crying because she "can't see us". So she spent the rest of the night on the sofa bed. Whatever, at 1am I didn't care where she slept as long as it wasn't with me and she was quiet. Anna of course slept through all of the wailing and moaning.
Their indoor water park is so great. They have a huge area for small kids. It is about a foot and a half deep with small slides and sprayers. Maddie was very brave this trip she was just tall enough to go on a couple of the taller slides. It was great she had to climb about 2 flights of stairs. She was worn out. She got to where she quit waiting for John or I to go with her. Anna had much more fun this time. She loves the water and is fearless. She kept diving face first into the water. We eventually put her life vest on her to keep her upright in the water. She loved the baby slides. She would come down on her back squealing and laughing and saying " again, again, again"
This was my attempt to get them in the picture together. It is almost impossible. They were so happy. The benefit to going during Sept or Jan is that there is no one there but us and about 20 other people.
