Trick or Treat

Halloween was so much fun. Maddie wanted to be a princess, what else?. So we rolled her hair and painted her toes and fingers and she got to wear one of her many princess dress up out fits. It was pink of course. She had a big time.

I chose not to get Anna a costume. She does well to walk in her pants and shoes when we are on the street. I didn't want to increase her odds of falling. And she still doesn't care.

Heather, Haylee and Austin came over for pizza. And then we set out to a couple of houses. We made it about 3/4 of the way down our block when Maddie wanted me to carry her. So that is when we returned home. Maddie said she didn't care to keep walking for additional candy because " mama don't we have lots at home?". She had seen our stash for handing out at the house. So home we went.

Our neighborhood is a magnet for trick or treaters. We handed out 800 pieces of candy in 2 hours. Maddie loved handing out the candy. She gave each person one sucker. They all had to wait so she could pick the right color and make sure she only had one. By the end of the night we had to put a sign on the door stating that we were out of candy and we turned all of the lights off down stairs and kids still knocked on the door. Crazy.
