We have decided not to take a huge vacation this summer. Traveling with 2 little kids either in the airport or on a road trip it totally not worth the headache. So, we decided to take a couple of short trips to Dallas with the girls. Maddie's favorite place to go is to any hotel with an indoor pool. She is so happy having all of us in one small place with no other plans but to sit and play and eat and sleep. I am not cleaning or doing laundry or cooking and John isn't working or playing on the computer. We spend most of our time playing with her and Anna. Anna was not use to us being in the same room with her. So getting her to sleep where she could stand up and see us was interesting. She would lay down for a minute and then stand up and say "peek a boo". Maddie thought it was hilarious.
We stayed in the Homewood Inn and Suites in Grapevine. It was great because Emma, Carri, baby Jackson and Kevin were only a few minutes away. We spent basically all week with them. It was lots of fun. The girls were so happy. They all played fairly well together.

One of the days we were there we went to IKEA. It is my new favorite place to shop. The big girls played in their child care area and Anna came with us. We shopped and shopped. Anna had a ball climbing on all the furniture and touching everything. In the kids area they have all of their toys out for playing. She of course loved all of them. Soon it was time to pick up the big girls. We ate lunch there. It was hard to go wrong with mac and cheese and meatballs. They all ate a ton and then the big girls wanted to go and play some more. As you can tell, Anna didn't make it very long after lunch. She passed out in the buggy. Never, she has never done that before. It was so pitiful. Worn out. If we lived close enough, I would take them there as an indoor play ground. It is great. Lunch is cheap and there is lots for them to do. I love it.
