Rodeo Roundup Day

Maddie had rodeo round up day at school. She loved it. All of the classes sang a little song and then they all got to play and ride horses and jump in the bounce house. They were suppose to dress up in cowboy clothes. I did not buy any because there is no way she would have worn them to school. I had to make her wear shorts.
She and Anna had a lot of fun. There were games her favorite was digging for gold in a sand box. For every piece of gold they found they got a piece of candy. No real challenge. Some of the
kids were mad because they thought the gold was the prize. Maddie was thrilled with the sugar.
There was a petting zoo. Anna and I went in and she was able to pet the goats. She kept meowing at them. They must have been the biggest cats she had ever seen! Maddie was very happy petting the baby rabbits
and ducks. She is not fond of the goats.
Getting to ride the horse was the highlight of the day. She got to sit and ride the pony all by herself. She was so proud. She kept asking to ride again and again. I was so proud of her. She looked so  big.
They both had a great time. By the end of the day Maddie didn't want to walk back to the building. I can't believe her first year of preschool is almost over. She is growing up so fast. I am glad she still enjoys school . She asks if she gets to go to school almost every day. I know it won't last forever, but for now it is so nice!
