Being a mom

I was reading an article in one of the hundreds of parenting magazines I get. It was asking people to write in the top 3 things they loved most and the 3 things they liked least about being a mom. I have been thinking about it for a couple of days and my list was kind of surprising to me.

Least favorite:
I don't like having to be the one to keep things clean ( no big surprise to anyone)
I don't like having to keep up with and find everyone's crap
I don't like having to be the brave one ( regarding dark closets and under beds)

Most favorite:
I love that since I have had my girls I now believe in love at first sight ( no offense honey!)
I love that everyday is a new day (a nights sleep erases any wrong doing from the day before)
I love that my kisses have magical powers (healing, easing pain, calming fears)

I love my little family. I am a better person because of them.

I so agree with what you said about I know I don't like cleaning. I hate cleaning, and I keep saying the day I can afford a maid I will hire one. But probably by then I won't need one because the kids will be out of the house and my house won't be dirty anymore. I also don't like having to pick up everyones "crap" eitehr. That craked me up.
